Services at Maranatha Baptist Church
WORSHIP/PREACHING/MUSIC –
During every service at Maranatha, we strive to honor the Lord and bless and encourage His people! You’ll find at MBC:
- Uplifting traditional services that focus on Christ-honoring worship.
- Solid Biblical preaching and practical application from God's Word in a clear and understandable way.
- Quality
music expressed through great hymns of the faith, congregational
singing that refreshes the spirit, and talented musicians who use their
gifts to serve the Lord.
In
every service, the Word of God is preached because it contains “all
that pertains to life and godliness” (II Peter 1:3), and through it
Christians can be “…thoroughly furnished unto all good works.” (II
Timothy 3:17).
SUNDAY SCHOOL –
Sunday
school isn’t just for kids! MBC offers classes for every age
group from three years old though adults. It’s for anyone who
wants to study the Bible in a structured, but less formal atmosphere
than a regular worship service. Questions and discussions are
encouraged as our teachers work to develop an appreciation for God’s
Word in their students.
Adult
studies include special topics (such as evangelism, prayer, or
principles of Christian living) and/or various books of the Bible.
Children’s
classes are systematically taught so that our students experience in
depth teaching at age appropriate levels over a wide range of
material. Normally, by the time they are finished with sixth
grade, our children have been all the way through the Bible.
WEDNESDAY PRAYER MEETING –
The
early church described in the book of Acts “continued steadfastly
in…prayers” (Acts 2:42) and so, following this example, MBC has
Wednesday evening Prayer Meetings and Bible Study at 7:30. There
is also a special, once-a-month prayer meeting following the evening
communion service. These services provide a time to get away from the
heavy cares of life and unite with other believers to pray and cast
their burdens on the Lord.
