The Good News
Do
you know FOR SURE that when you die, you will go to heaven?? The
GOOD NEWS is that God has provided a way for YOU to know FOR SURE that
you will – and your journey can begin now.
The Bible tells us that God will not allow sinners into heaven without
their having first paid the penalty for their sin. The BIG
problem is that EVERYONE is a sinner and NO ONE is able to pay that
penalty. The GOOD NEWS is that God sent his Son, Jesus Christ, to pay
the penalty FOR you. The WRATH of God for your sin was poured on
Christ when He was crucified in your place. It was God’s LOVE for you
that made Jesus lay down his life so you could experience the joys of
heaven. However, to appropriate this “salvation” YOU must
FIRST: Acknowledge yourself for what you are…a sinner. The Bible says,
“For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God.” (Romans 3:23)
“For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord.” (Romans 6:23)
NEXT: Repent of your sin and living life your own way, and turn to God. The Bible says,
“Repent ye therefore, and be converted, that your sins may be blotted out. (Acts. 3:19)
“Let
the wicked forsake his way, and the unrighteous man his thoughts: and
let him return unto the LORD, and he will have mercy upon him; and to
our God, for he will abundantly pardon.” (Isaiah 55:7)
THEN: Believe in Christ and TRUST that He died in YOUR place to pay for YOUR sins.
“For
God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son, that
whosever believeth on Him should not perish but have everlasting
life.” (John 3:16)
“That
if thou shalt confess with thy mouth Jesus as Lord, and shalt believe
in thine heart that God hath raised him from the dead, thou shalt be
saved.” (Romans 10:9)
FOR I DELIVERED UNTO YOU FIRST OF ALL THAT WHICH I ALSO RECEIVED, HOW
THAT CHRIST DIED FOR OUR SINS ACCORDING TO THE SCRIPTURES; AND THAT HE
WAS BURIED, AND THAT HE ROSE AGAIN THE THIRD DAY ACCORDING TO THE
SCRIPTURES. (1 Corinthians 15:3,4)
If you would sincerely like to trust Christ as your Savior right now
and become a Christian, you can pray a prayer similar to this one.
“God, I know I am a sinner and that Christ alone can save me. I
repent of my sinful life and that until now I have ignored You. I
believe Jesus Christ died for me and I’m trusting Him now as my
Savior.”
